YOUNG GLORY
With 8 briefs by 8 international judges over 8 months, going up against 200 teams around the world, Young Glory is known as Advertising's Tour De France for young creatives.
Like a couple of Lance Armstrong's, we came out on top as World Champions with the power of performance-enhancing drugs (caffeine). The grand prize? An all-expenses paid trip to Montreal. However, COVID bitch-slapped it out of our hands and replaced it with an 18k gold ring. We can’t complain.
But like life, it’s not about the destination (no, Montreal, no!), it’s about the journey. From trying to convince the western world to eat bugs, to making the ad industry more accepting and diverse, the competition was not only a gruelling creative endurance race but an exercise in creating punchy, simple solutions to a range of different problems. We’ve popped in a few that won big, and a few that we think should’ve but we assume there was some kind of mix-up.
